"The main thing
is to keep
The main thing
The main thing"
I married the love of my life on June 30th, 2012 under the giant oak in my parents backyard. Lewis and I were married a year and a half when we got the surprise of our life - the ultrasound tech told us we were pregnant with spontaneous identical twins! I like to think they are the reason I started this business.. they were just infants when I felt this overwhelming desire to provide. To create. To lead by example and show them what hard work looks like. We scraped and scrounged to buy my first big girl camera and 50mm lens - and so began Abigail Niemann Photography!
Since launching in February of 2015 we have added two new faces to our group. Baby Walter joined us December 2017 - changing the depths of my heart. Miss Maggie is our sweet Goldendoodle and the prefect addition to our home. I am so proud of what my husband and I have accomplished and I cant wait to create more adventures and capture more memories for past, present and future clients!

But doesn't everyone? Its cliche, I know... but I just cant help myself! I really do live for my children. Bonnie Mae and Charlotte Dee were born in May of 2014 - and they turned everything upside down. Then Walter Lewis stole our hearts in December 2017. They are the reason I started this business, and the reason I keep going. They are my joy. They are the reason I get out of bed every morning. And I mean that in the most literal way possible.

Ambiguous, I know... So let me explain...
In everything I do, I want to find the truth. Finding the truth within a photograph. Finding the truth when my children fight. Finding the truth when I talk to God. Always searching for the truth about myself.
It's a simple concept, but I have spent a lot of time constructing my business around truths. I truly want your experience with ANP to be extremely fufilling, and each interaction be positive and full of truth.
We absolutely love spending time at our land up in northern Minnesota. A place for our kids to be 'kids'. Getting creative in their mud kitchen, exploring the trails on the UTV, discovering wildlife, sitting by the campfire and having a place to be free. This property has so much to discover - the largest beaver dam i've ever seen, we believe its over 3 football fields long and an Eagles nest in one of the tall pines on the edge of the property.
We all need those perfect family photos, everyone looking and everyone smiling. Those make great Christmas Cards. But thats not my passion. That doesn't get me excited. I love a photograph that you look at it and FEEL something. Feel love, happiness, comfort, chaos, sadness, joy etc.
All of the emotions. Good or bad.
Photography is an art. Creating new images. Pushing myself to tell new and exciting stories!
I have been on a journey for 2019- I have tried taking a personal picture every single day. I want to capture our silly, quiet, busy, lame moments. Some days I fail to pickup the camera, but the point isn't to be strict, it's just making a story for my children. Giving them a visual
I envision this is their love letter. When they are grown and old they can look back and see our adventures and our crazy beautiful life.
